Our leadership team oversees all projects in a given cycle and works to implement a long-term vision for EC.

 
 

Nickey Shah | Managing Director

Nickey Shah is a third-year student at the University of Chicago studying Economics and Political Science. He joined EC in the fall of his first year and has since led an engagement for Blackstone and contributed to projects for organizations including the Girl Scouts and Techstars. As Managing Director, Nickey is responsible for overseeing the club’s operations and establishing client relationships. This past summer, Nickey worked as a summer analyst at Scorpio Group, supporting oil tanker investment, and he will intern at Morgan Stanley next summer.

Joyce Huang | Principal of Recruitment

Joyce Huang is a third-year student at the University of Chicago studying Economics and Art History. She joined EC in the fall of her first year and has since consulted for Uber, the Girl Scouts, and Instacart. She led engagements with Teach for America and the American Red Cross. As Principal of Recruitment, Joyce is responsible for directing Eckhart’s new member recruitment process. Additionally, she also oversees daily operations and consultant feedback for the club. This past summer, Joyce worked as a Summer Analyst at a middle-market private equity firm.

Divyata Choudhary | Principal of Engagement

Divyata Choudhary is a fourth-year studying Economics and Cognitive Science at the University of Chicago. She joined EC in the fall of her second year and has led engagements with Blackstone and Easterseals. She has also consulted for Formula 1, Best Buddies and the Alzheimer’s Association. As Principal of Engagement, she is responsible for alumni engagement, relationships with recruiters, and supporting the professional development of EC members. She worked as a Hedging Summer Intern at Riverside Risk Advisors, where she worked in derivatives advisory and risk management. This past summer, she worked at StepStone Group in infrastructure investment.

Kelly Liu | Principal of Strategy

Kelly Liu is a fourth-year student at the University of Chicago studying Economics and Philosophy. Since joining Eckhart in the fall of her second year, she has consulted on projects for Formula 1 and Sotheby’s and most recently led engagements with Blackstone and the American Red Cross. As Principal of Strategy, Kelly leads internal professional training, defines project scopes, and ensures high-quality execution across client engagements. She has previously interned at a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company and spent this past summer as an analyst on BlackRock’s private equity team.

PROJECT TEAM STRUCTURE

 

Engagement Manager

EMs are the project leaders and work closely with the client to guide high-level strategy. As senior members, they have completed at least two projects.


Project Advisor

Each project is assigned 1 project advisor, who is usually a full-time strategy consultant at a firm like McKinsey, Bain, and BCG.


Senior Advisor

Each project has 1–2 senior advisors, who are typically 3rd or 4th year students and have led a project in the past.

Consultants

EC Consultants are some of the most intelligent and driven students at UChicago. Each team has 3–4 consultants.
